Elevated Basement Remodel with A Cozy Industrial Feel
- Create more space for a growing family.
- Provide a designated room for a home office.
- Add an entertaining area.
This basement remodel took a completely blank canvas and turned it into a modern living and entertainment space with a separate room for guests and/or an office.
Project Overview
These clients were expecting a baby and wanted to add more living space to their current home.
They wanted to add a place in their home that could grow as their family does. Also, since they had to turn their current office into a nursery, it was important for them to create a new office space.

Scope of Work
While it was important to create an updated living space, these clients also wanted to maintain a decent amount of storage. We were able to build up some walls to give them a separate and hidden storage area.
The main purpose of the remodel was to add more functional living space for entertaining. The majority of the basement was transformed into an entertainment zone, complete with impressive built-in shelves around the TV.
Since they were expecting a baby, they had to turn their current guest room/home office into a nursery. We were able to design the basement so it included a guest room and/or home office in a private section of the basement.
Another important feature to make note of is the epoxy floor. These clients enjoy the industrial style but did not want to go overboard with it. They wanted the basement to feel elegant and modern and the epoxy floor definitely elevated it to that level.

Reilly and Cierra came to us eager to transform their basement into a functional living and entertaining space. Shortly after project development started, they had some issues arise that required them to put their project on hold. Thankfully, due to our project development software, we were able to keep all of their information and decisions in one safe place so it would be ready for them when they returned. Once they were ready to start up again, they moved quickly. A baby on the way is excellent motivation! With ordering materials, product lead times, and scheduling trade partners, they spent a little over a month in pre-production. Once construction starts, a typical basement remodel takes about 4-8+ weeks. This project fell right around 8 weeks to complete.
