- Freshening up the space
- Tying in the client's style and aesthetic
Bathroom Cost Category: Mid-Range Economy
Remodels do not have to be large and complex projects to impact your home. This project shows what a little freshening up and small adjustments can do! Mudroom spaces are important! They do not need to be unappealing or forgotten. A simple remodel can elevate the space.
Project Overview
Our clients came to us with the request to make the entire mudroom area look more cohesive. With two growing boys and a dog, this area is an active space in their home.
Originally, the hallway, laundry room, and powder room looked like three separate spaces. They wanted to bring all the spaces together while still keeping them as separate entities.

Scope of Work
For this laundry room and powder room remodel, we removed all existing flooring and replaced it with tile to tie all three spaces together. We freshened up all three spaces with the same color paint. With small spaces, a more cohesive look is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also makes the space seem larger than it is.
In the powder room, we removed the existing vanity and installed a more updated maple vanity with a beautiful quartz countertop and porcelain under-mount sink. A new toilet was added to give the client's more space in their small bathroom. Brushed nickel Moen fixtures complete the room.

These clients knew exactly what they wanted and were eager to get their project started. They spent about 3 weeks in the Design Development stage. During this stage they scheduled and attended showroom appointments with one of our Project Designers. They made decisions and finalized the design details quickly. With ordering materials, product lead times, and scheduling trade partners, they spent about a month in pre-production. Once construction starts, a typical bathroom remodel takes about 4-6 weeks. Taking just about a month to complete, this project was able to stick to that estimated timeline very well.
