Project Overview
This primary suite remodel was a long-awaited transformation for the homeowners, who had envisioned a space that reflected their modern style and desire for a peaceful retreat.
Having previously worked with us on a guest bathroom refresh, the clients were ready to take on a full-scale remodel of their primary suite—a project they had been planning for years. The goal was to create a sophisticated and cohesive space that balanced functionality with a contemporary aesthetic, elevating their day-to-day living experience.

Scope of Work
This primary suite remodel was a complete transformation, blending thoughtful design and modern functionality to create a space that feels both luxurious and welcoming. The original suite, with its dated floral wallpaper, beige walls, and dark cherry wood furniture felt heavy and out of sync with the clients' modern tastes. The bathroom had a closed off and sectioned layout that was not super functional.
To create a more open and functional layout, significant changes were made. The closet entrance, previously accessible through a door in the bedroom, was relocated to open directly from within the bathroom. The double vanity was relocated, opening up the area near the new freestanding soaking tub and providing more room for the open shower and toilet area. These adjustments made the bathroom feel more spacious and cohesive.
To achieve the clients’ vision, the entire suite was reimagined with a focus on clean lines, modern textures, and functionality. In the bathroom, the jetted tub was replaced with a sleek freestanding soaking tub, positioned to take advantage of the natural light of the window. The old double vanity was upgraded to custom cabinetry with quartz countertops and brushed brass fixtures, creating a luxurious yet practical workspace. The walls were brightened with neutral tones, and the tile flooring was replaced with a more contemporary stone-inspired design.
The bedroom itself was also refreshed, with new paint and lighting that complement the updated style. A breathtaking feature added was a stunning wood panel accent wall that now features a hidden door. This offers a seamless and stylish transition between the two spaces. This striking design choice enhances the bedroom's visual appeal while maintaining functionality.

This primary suite remodel was thoughtfully designed and carefully executed, reflecting the trust and confidence the clients had in our process from a previous project. The design phase extended over some time, as the clients wanted to ensure each decision about the layout and functionality aligned with their vision. During this phase, the family encountered unexpected personal circumstances that paused progress, and we were happy to accommodate their timeline. When they were ready to move forward, we resumed the project with their goals at the forefront.
During pre-production we work on ordering materials, learning product lead times, obtaining permits, and scheduling trade partners. Once construction starts, a typical bathroom remodel takes about 4-6+ weeks. Once construction began, the project spanned a little longer than a typical bathroom remodel. The scope of work encompassed the entire primary suite, requiring meticulous planning and execution. From reconfiguring the layout to installing custom finishes, every detail was managed with care to deliver a beautiful and functional space that exceeded expectations.
